Power & Signal Analysis

Power and Signal Analysis

At AET we believe in selecting the best analysis tool for the job. For some systems, time domain simulation is most suited to the analysis questions, whereas on other occasions frequency response mathematical analysis is required for precision in frequency and phase system models. Similarly three phase, DC and high voltage calculations require different tools again, ranging from relatively straightforward calculation of signal drop through to a complex understanding of radiated power losses due to electric and magnetic field emissions.
The effect of cable armouring, hydraulic steel tubes, foil or tape screen and umbilical flooding must be thoroughly understood and the correct analytical methods used to guarantee reliable and informative results.

We’re used by operators, vendors and consultants throughout the industry because of the knowledge we can offer. Our analyses will give you an accurate assessment of what you need to know:
  • Supply voltage, current, power factor and operating margins;
  • Control Module operating voltage, current and power factor;
  • Signal attenuation and operating margins;
  • Signal reflections and dead spot identification and correction.
  • Eddy current losses and radiated emissions due to cable and umbilical geometry and layout
